    orks. You will lead this critical team supporting services that will underpin a large number of security capabilities. To be successful you should be self-motivated, flexible in your approach, and exude tight-knit collaboration skills, including the ability to mentor and be mentored. Creativity, innovation and a persistent drive for results will be required to design security capabilities that have no parallel. We are looking for a standout colleague who is able to take on challenges under tight deadline constraints and deliver imaginative solutions to complex problems.

    Minimum Qualifications

    • 10+ years of overall industry experience with 2+ years building & leading high-performing software engineering teams with a focus on security

    • Proven track record of delivery of OS tools with deep knowledge of Linux Kernel/OS and networking

    • Experience with deployment processes and building CI/CD tools and knowledge of latest software development practices.

    • Ability to code and participate in SDLC with the team. Expert knowledge of at least one programming language: Swift, Rust, C/C++, Objective-C, or Go

    • Experience using and releasing open source software in corporate environments, with knowledge of licensing and legal review processes

    • Proven track record of shipping high quality services and products

    • Knowledge of how to operate and deploy software and configurations to a large scale infrastructure

    • Demonstrated ability to build trust and confidence with SRE/Infrastructure teams

    Preferred Qualifications

    • Previous information security experience

    • Previous experience building endpoint security tools for data center application

    • Experience building operating systems, kernels, drivers, daemons, frameworks

    • Passion for product ownership and track record of product development

    • Expertise with software security primitives and performance concepts, certificates, and identity services

    • Ability to work under pressure and successfully manage difficult situations in a dynamic work environment

    • Experience using and releasing open source software in corporate environments, with knowledge of licensing and legal review processes.

    Pay & Benefits

    At Apple, base pay is one part of our total compensation package and is determined within a range. This provides the opportunity to progress as you grow and develop within a role. The base pay range for this role is between $208,300 and $313,000, and your base pay will depend on your skills, qualifications, experience, and location.
