    Position summary

    atabases and ML/analytics frameworks to orchestration of large scale containerized and virtualized jobs. We are looking for a standout colleague who is able to take on problems under tight deadline constraints and deliver imaginative solutions. This role will report to a staff leader of Virtualized Infrastructure and Service Delivery in Apple Services Engineering.

    Minimum Qualifications

    • BS/MS in Computer Science and Engineering or related field

    • 15+ years of industry experience

    • Experience leading high-velocity cross-functional teams through vision and influence

    • Strong written and verbal communication skills

    • Ability to organize, plan and deliver cross functionally against key milestones

    • Demonstrated ability to deliver solutions that are maintainable, understandable and diagnosable

    • Managing or running distributed systems and delivering internet services at scale

    • Infrastructure expertise in key areas of storage, networks, CDNs

    Preferred Qualifications

    • Experience in the bottom layers of the storage software stack (Filesystem, Block Device, SSD)

    • Highly technical, detail oriented, and not afraid to roll up the sleeves to drive architecture and solutions.

    • Deeply cares about service delivery including reliability, operations and support

    • Passionate about driving a vision, delivering results, execution, and being data-driven for measuring success

    • Able to lead across organizational boundaries and reporting structures

    • Ability to independently network, learn, and influence cross-functional teams both business and technical

    • Deep sense of collaboration and known/appreciated capabilities of working with adjacent functions viz EPM, SRE, PM, Finance, Security

    • Proven track record of mentoring and growing other engineers and managers

    Pay & Benefits

    At Apple, base pay is one part of our total compensation package and is determined within a range. This provides the opportunity to progress as you grow and develop within a role. The base pay range for this role is between $208,300 and $360,200, and your base pay will depend on your skills, qualifications, experience, and location.
