    Position summary

    nd interface between vendors and downstream module integrators. We are looking for a Supplier Quality Engineer (SQE) for Display Component to be based in Japan. The SQE as part of Technical Operations will work in conjunction with the Manufacturing Process Engineering team as well as a multi-functional team of Design, Engineering, Sourcing and Product Development Engineers to ensure that top quality products and services from the suppliers and drive excellence into everything we do. In this highly visible technical quality lead role, you will be the resident factory expert in manufacturing process, yields and overall factory readiness for mass production, combining knowledge of Display and Display related components to deliver results on a tight timeline.     Description

    • Provide total ownership of the factory output, yield and readiness to ramp volume - Drive innovative quality system to predict potential risks effectively and prevent quality issues - Close collaboration and communication with broader teams and suppliers across countries, take the lead the conversation - Provide leadership and drive yield & operational excellence expectations with suppliers through direct interaction, continuous communication, and continuous improvement efforts - Drive complex failure analysis studies on the development with multi-functional teams and suppliers, validate corrective actions through supply chains - Executive level status reports on regular cadence - Call out key concerns and suggest options for resolutions to senior management

    Minimum Qualifications

    • Business level proficiency in verbal and written English

    • General knowledge of End-to-End quality control with familiarity and expertise for Smart Quality activities (Quality 4.0)

    • Experience with statistical analysis and data visualization tools (JMP, Tableau, etc.) and ability to simplify complex problems

    • Hands on experience on failure analysis in Display related field and general understanding of DOE principles

    • Hands on experience with Failure analysis tools (FIB-SEM, AFM, FTIR, CT-scan, etc.) to drive complex failure analysis

    • B.S or B. Engineering or proven experience in related engineering field

    Preferred Qualifications

    • Strong ability for teamwork and collaboration
    • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to concisely understand and communicate issues and lead cross functional teams to solution
    • Willingness to be flexible, manage multiple activities, and frequently pivot to new tasks and responsibilities
    • Experience with Roll-to-Roll manufacturing processes and quality control
    • Experience with external supplier for program management
    • Proficiency in Korean or Japanese Language is a plus
    • Flexibility for business travel in Korea/Japan and other countries
    • Artificial Intelligence (AI), Machine Learning (ML) and its application experience is a plus
