    Team Overview

    Applied Materials' Office of the CTO group is searching for an intern to join our team in summer 2025! At Applied's CTO group, we focus on developing new semiconductor materials and devices for emerging markets and technology inflections by harnessing our state-of-the-art materials engineering and semiconductor processing capabilities. The position will entail the following:

    Responsibilities

    • Work with process, hardware, and metrology team to develop new functional PVD materials

    • Design and conduct experiments and collect and analyze metrology data for process optimization

    • Explore new growth areas leveraging Applied's expertise in precision material engineering

    Requirements

    • Education: MSE/EE/Phys, working towards Ph.D. degree

    • Hand-on experience in semiconductor material growth, device fabrication, and characterization

    • Passionate about semiconductor material and device engineering

    • Good communication and presentation skills

    Compensation

    $49 - $54 per hour

    The rate offered to a selected candidate will be based on a number of factors including location and education level and will vary depending on confirmed job-related knowledge, skills, and experience.
