What you will do on our Field Service Engineer Program:
Field Service Engineers (FSE) are working in state-of-the-art facilities and at customer sites, where they are the face of Applied Materials and an integral part of a vibrant and diverse team. They like to troubleshoot hardware, solve complex problems, and make equipment work better.
On-site installation and support of leading-edge customer equipment, performing scheduled preventive maintenance and corrective maintenance, and upgrading equipment.
Performing preventive and corrective maintenance independently or as part of a team
Systematic troubleshooting and fault elimination of the systems.
FSEs work across technologies such as: Chemical Vapor Deposition, Atomic Layer deposition, Plasma Reactive Ion Etch, Physical Vapor Deposition, Anneal, Implant, Metrology, and Inspection.
Our College Graduate Trainee Program includes:

We are looking for you:
If you are graduating in 2025 with a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering or Mechatronics or related field.
Have an advanced level of English. A proficient level of either French, German or Italian would be beneficial.
If you are an EU Citizen or have the right to live and work in France/Italy/Ireland/Germany.
Your mindset is important:
Team player with strong interpersonal skills and a building trust nature.
Exercise judgement based on data analysis of multiple sources of information like plant documentations, schematics, and hardware data.
Find solutions with different tools to get the machine running again.
Explain difficult or sensitive information and works to build consensus.
Physical Requirements:
Various physical movements such as bending, squatting, twisting, kneeling, reaching, climbing stairs and ladders, and extended walking and standing
Ability to distinguish between colors
Ability to operate hand and power tools
Ability to work in confined spaces
Ability to work in a noise-prone environment (with consideration for noise sensitivity)
Wear personal protective equipment such as coveralls, hoods, booties, safety glasses, gloves, respirators, chemical aprons, and face shields, particularly in clean room settings
Flexibility for rotational shifts, including nights, weekends, and holidays as required by customer needs
