    Summary

    Join Applied Materials as a Physical Security Technologist and lead global innovation in AI-driven video surveillance. You will design, optimize, and secure enterprise-wide physical security systems, ensuring operational resilience and compliance with international standards.

    Key Responsibilities

    AI Automation

    • Drive operational efficiency across video platforms (servers, cameras, storage, software).

    • Develop automated health checks, diagnostics, and dashboard monitoring.

    • Automate firmware updates, patches, and system upgrades.

    • Implement AI features across global camera systems.

    Operational Support

    • Act as SME for AI Video technologies.

    • Troubleshoot video loss, device failures, and network disruptions.

    • Enhance user roles, permissions, and security profiles.

    System Optimization & Planning

    • Implement real-time AI-driven monitoring for capacity and performance.

    • Lead system expansions, upgrades, and architectural improvements.

    • Define corporate standards for recording schedules, resolution, and retention.

    Security & Compliance

    • Ensure alignment with cybersecurity best practices.

    • Drive compliance with GDPR, CJIS, PCI, and internal policies.

    • Manage authentication, access controls, encryption, and audit logging.

    • Support investigations and incident response.

    Documentation & Reporting

    • Maintain network diagrams, configuration records, and inventory logs.

    • Develop dashboards for uptime, performance, and security events.

    Collaboration

    • Partner with networking teams on VLAN design and bandwidth planning.

    • Coordinate with global security operations, integrators, and vendors.

    • Integrate physical security with IT and identity management platforms.

    Qualifications

    Required:

    • Bachelor's degree in engineering, Security Systems, or related field.

    • 7-10 years managing corporate Video Management Systems (e.g., Avigilon, Milestone, Genetec).

    • Expertise in IP video systems, network infrastructure, servers, and storage.

    • Strong communication and vendor management skills.

    Preferred:

    • Experience with access control, intrusion detection, and identity management systems.

    Technical Skills

    • Mastery of video surveillance platforms and server administration.

    • Ability to design and implement physical security solutions globally.

    • Manage technology refresh cycles and vendor transitions.

    The salary offered to a selected candidate will be based on multiple factors including location, hire grade, job-related knowledge, skills, experience, and with consideration of internal equity of our current team members. In addition to a comprehensive benefits package, candidates may be eligible for other forms of compensation such as participation in a bonus and a stock award program, as applicable.

    For all sales roles, the posted salary range is the Target Total Cash (TTC) range for the role, which is the sum of base salary and target bonus amount at 100% goal achievement.
