Senior Computer Vision Algorithm Engineer

Your Role

In your daily job you will:

• Developing advanced Computer Vision algorithms for automotive interior (in-cabin) sensing from early prototype to production grade solution

• Relevant algorithmic problems include image pre-processing, camera calibration, 3D pose estimation from 2D images, and 3D scene reconstruction from multi view geometry.

• Integrating Computer Vision modules with vision-based Machine Learning modules, and combining the outputs for specific applications

• Writing high quality, tested and efficient software in C++ for our Interior Sensing SW Stack

• Filing patent applications to strengthen the Aptiv IP footprint

• Leading an Agile SW development team (SCRUM)

• Mentoring junior engineers

Your Background

Key ingredients for succeeding in the role are your:

• Master's degree + 5 years of relevant experience or PhD degree in computer science or related field with specialization on Computer Vision, Machine Learning, Deep Learning or Autonomous Systems

• Excellent theoretical and practical knowledge in image processing, computer vision, and multi-view geometry with minimum three years relevant work experience

• Strong software development skills in both C++ and Python. You have a passion for clean, well-tested, and documented code, following an ASPICE development process.

• Practical experience with Linux, version control systems (e.g. Git, DVC), build systems (Make, CMake, Autotools) and code review tools (Gerrit, Gitlab, Bitbucket)

• Fluent in English. Excellent written and verbal communication skills & good interpersonal skills

• Solid theoretical understanding of artificial intelligence, neural network architectures, model building and evaluation

Nice to have:

• Practical experience in using at least one common ML framework (e.g. PyTorch, Tensorflow)

• Experience working with large scale datasets
