Group Accounting Manager - EMEA Finance

Job Description:

To work within the Accounting team to deliver the necessary accounting and reporting requirements expected within a large complex organisation. The role will be involved in General Ledger, controlling and reporting, along with a range of other financial reconciliation and control tasks as required within the team.

What will you be doing at Arrow Global Components?

  • Control and oversee the accounting and reporting of multiple European Companies

  • Oversee Hyperion EMEA consolidated reporting activities, liaising with the US parent company as required

  • Complete all relevant month and quarter end financial close procedures

  • Provide input and support on technical accounting areas

  • Prepare and be responsible for all necessary internal reporting required within Europe and to the US head office

  • Carry out relevant Sarbanes Oxley controls

  • Manage some audit and compliance activities across the team

  • Drive development of new/efficient processes/procedures within the accounting team

  • Own and deliver all company changes to policy, processes and projects for the team and related countries

  • Own and deliver all externally driven changes, such as changes in regulation and any other changes

  • Collaborate effectively with different parts of the business as required, in order to deliver the above

  • Provide support and assistance to the Senior Finance Manager on other projects and ad-hoc tasks

  • Interface with other finance departments, other Arrow companies, Europe and Corporate headquarters and all necessary external parties such as Auditors

  • All tasks to be carried out in a Total Quality manner, consistent with the Company culture.

What are we looking for?

  • Excellent knowledge of accounting

  • High level usage of Excel and data manipulation

  • Fluency in English

  • Dedication and commitment to achieve results and deadlines.

  • Ability to understand process logic and drive efficiency improvements

  • Oracle knowledge/experience an advantage

  • Accuracy of work and meeting deadlines

  • Deliver and maintain suitable and efficient solutions

  • Team working within the accounting team and wider finance departments.

  • Sound knowledge of general accounting and reporting processes

  • Effective resolution of complex reporting requirements

  • Highly numerate and methodical

  • Maintain efficient control under pressure to meet deadlines

  • Good communication skills

  • Time management and prioritisation skills

  • Qualified Accountant with UK/International Gaap Knowledge.

  • Accounting Experience over a number of years.

  • Recognised full accountancy qualification
