As a staff applications engineer in the HMI e-beam division of ASML, you will serve as the applications representative who bridges product capabilities to customer problem statements. You will be responsible to maintain up-to-date technical documentation of current product performance and capabilities, conduct gap analysis, and provide comprehensive assessments to the product development team to drive short-term as well as long-term product roadmaps. You will do so through in-depth interaction with on-site customer-facing technical teams, fab customers themselves, as well as Product Marketing. You are expected to be the applications expert who distills the technical voice of the customer into our next-generation products in an efficient manner consistent with the company’s vision of holistic process control through advanced metrology. This position is focused on software analysis products derived from CD, overlay, and placement error e-beam metrology.
This position may require access to controlled technology, as defined in the Export Administration Regulations (15 C.F.R. § 730, et seq.). Qualified candidates must be legally authorized to access such controlled technology prior to beginning work. Business demands may require the Company to proceed with candidates who are immediately eligible to access controlled technology.
The staff applications engineer will be responsible for creating and maintaining a capabilities and gaps portfolio of current software analysis products, create technical requirements documentation for next-generation software analysis products, participate in the company’s Product Generation Process (PGP) to drive application requirements into product development, and create comprehensive plans for customer site beta product introduction. This position may require up to 25% travel.
