    Position summary

    ion & 3P related experimentation you will;

    • Lead experimentation teams - driving a culture of data-driven decision-making.

    • Collaborate with cross-functional partners to define hypotheses and experiment plans.

    • Provide technical leadership to ensure efficient and accurate experiment execution.

    • Foster a culture of learning and continuous improvement.

    • Champion the strategic use of experimentation for innovation and growth.

    What you'll do:

    • This senior engineering leadership role will lead a global team of ~35 engineers and work closely with product management, design leaders and others to set the strategy, goals and execution roadmap for group.
      Own the significant company goals (OKRs) and their delivery.

    • Set strategy alongside squad partners, growing great leaders, structuring the organisation to support strategy, helping translate strategy into funded execution plans, navigating high-level dependencies with other Atlassian teams, and leading a distributed team of accomplished engineering teams.

    • In a central team, there is a large emphasis on collaboration with other platform and product teams - finding win/win roadmap trade-offs.

    Your background:

    • Extensive engineering management experience, following Agile development processes with a history of shipping both consumer products and cloud services.

    • Experience in continuous delivery and deployment practices

    • Strong technical leadership with an ability to devise and effectively communicate a long-term technical strategy, and inspire the organisation around a shared vision for success.

    • Track record of delivering on technology transformations with company-impacting scale and multi-year projects.

    • 5+ years managing senior managers, and a track record of successfully scaling organisations of teams of engineers.

    • Ability to communicate directly and clearly, with a strong emphasis on careful listening and empathy, and a bias toward action.

    Advantageous experience:

    • Background or experience in working in statistics - especially related to A/B testing and experimentation
    • Working in a Growth team or organisation
    • Managing remote teams
    • Microservices-based and server-less architectures
