    Position Overview

    The Senior Content Experience Designer at Autodesk is responsible for crafting engaging content for our customers and creating effective product experiences that promote customer knowledge and skill development. Content may include, but is not limited to

    • customer-facing online help

    • in-product learning

    • tutorials

    • user interface content

    • product messaging

    In this role you will work closely with a team of talented content and UX designers, alongside stakeholders from Product Management, Software Engineering, Software Architecture, and Quality Assurance, to create compelling content experiences that help our customers solve their most critical "design and make" problems, particularly in the area of simulation This position requires a portfolio demonstrating your skills for delivering effective content that meets customer needs

    Responsibilities

    • Research, design, and develop content solutions that deliver an effective customer learning experience

    • Participate in product teams to understand customer requirements and contribute to the design of features with a focus on learnability

    • Craft user-interface text and in-product messaging that improves the customer experience

    • Apply Autodesk and product voice standards and terminology efforts across products to improve usability and consistency.

    • Seek technical, editorial and customer feedback to ensure accurate, clear content that meets customer needs

    • Use customer insights from analytics, research, and other customer interactions, to help inform content decisions

    • Capture project requirements and other information necessary to estimate content development efforts

    • Contribute to Autodesk’s community of practice for content design

    Minimum Qualifications

    • Bachelor's degree, or equivalent work experience, in a related field, such as English, web design, communications, engineering, or product design

    • 5+ years’ experience of developing high-quality content experiences for software applications

    • A good understanding of how to explain complex and technical subject matter through written, visual , or video content

    • Excellent verbal, written and visual communication skills

    • Knowledge of using analytics and data to improve content.

    • Ability to work independently and in a distributed, global team environment

    • Eager to learn, explore and gain new experiences

    Preferred Qualifications

    • Experience with engineering, manufacturing, industrial design or related systems

    • Experience with GitHub and Markdown authoring, markup languages (such as HTML, XML, or DITA XML) and content management systems (CMS)

    • Knowledge of one or more Autodesk software products
