Software Development Engineer - APIGEE/API Gateway, Python

s Autodesk Platform Services

• Develop cloud-based solutions for API metering and monetization that can handle well over 25,000 requests per second

• Enable multi-region availability for the platform

• Contribute to code reviews, address technical debt, and enable inner-sourcing of the platform

• Respond to operational requests and incidents related to the platform on a rotating basis

• Demonstrate ownership and a strong team spirit in all aspects of your work

Minimum Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a related field, with a minimum of 3 years of experience in platform development or a similar role

• 3+ years of hands-on software development experience in Python, Java, Go, NodeJS, or .NET

• Proficiency in serverless computing services such as AWS Lambda

• Hands-on experience with virtual machine services like AWS EC2 or GCP Compute Engine

• Familiarity with container orchestration services such as AWS ECS, GCP Container Engine, Kubernetes

• Strong understanding of Infrastructure as Code (IaC) principles and tools such as Terraform and CloudFormation

• Experience designing and implementing scalable, high-performance platform solutions

• Experience implementing unit and integration tests

Preferred Qualifications

• AWS certifications such as AWS Certified Solutions Architect or AWS Certified Developer

• GCP certifications such as Professional Cloud Developer or Professional Cloud Architect

• Proficiency in CI/CD pipelines for automated deployment and testing

• Experience with monitoring and logging tools such as CloudWatch and Dynatrace, among others

The Ideal Candidate

• You have a strong background in cloud software or platform development, with expertise in serverless computing, virtual machines, and container orchestration services across AWS and GCP environments

• You are well-versed in Infrastructure as Code (IaC) principles and tools

• You thrive in collaborative environments and are passionate about using cloud services to build scalable and resilient platforms

• You stay updated with the latest trends and best practices in cloud computing and platform development
