Position Overview

The India Tax Analyst will report to the India Tax Manager to carry out the team’s assigned provision and compliance tasks and responsibilities.  This role will work with the respective business partners (geo tax teams, Accounting. Legal and others), including the India Tax Manager to build the processes being transferred to the India tax team.  In addition to strong execution of tax processes, this role will be able to improve, document and train others on such processes.This job requires execution of the below responsibilities with ownership and accountability.  The ability to be flexible and to grow as a global tax professional is critical to the success of this person.  This includes keeping an open mind to innovative ways, to challenge status quo in order to seek continuously improvement.There needs to be effective collaboration with other tax teams and the interest to improve as part of the global tax team.

Responsibilities

• The India Tax Analyst will report to the India Tax Manager to carry out the team’s assigned provision and compliance tasks and responsibilities.  This role will work with the respective business partners (geo tax teams, Accounting. Legal and others), including the India Tax Manager to build the processes being transferred to the India tax team.  In addition to strong execution of tax processes, this role will be able to improve, document and train others on such processes

• There needs to be effective collaboration with other tax teams and the interest to improve as part of the global tax team
• The India Tax Team will be tasked with the execution of the following as a start:
• Preparation of certain tax accounting work-papers
• Preparation of tax provision and federal/state income tax returns (including estimated tax payments) using Thomson Reuters OneSource software
• Assist with foreign data gathering and reporting
• Assist with tax projects such as annual research and development credit project
• Assist with acquisition data gathering necessary for compliance reporting
• Prepare reports required to comply with FinCEN requirements
• Assist with transfer pricing documentation
• Assist with the creation and review of the Company’s financial forecasts (forecasted intercompany transactions)
• Assist with federal and state income tax audits
• Perform basic tax research
• Manage a document retention project and prepare Autodesk files for future IRS audit
• Assist with indirect tax compliance (VAT, GST, Sales/Use tax)
• Other special projects as they arise

Minimum Qualifications

• Bachelor’s/Master’s degree in Accounting or Law degree
• Work experience with Big Four accounting firm
• At least 4-5 years of work experience in Corporate Tax
• Experience with U.S. taxation, especially in the tax compliance area
