Position Overview
Autodesk Construction Cloud (ACC) is a construction web/mobile platform that is changing the way things get built. We believe (deeply!) that our customers and the construction industry deserves a truly great platform to manage the full lifecycle of all of their projects to greater success than currently possible or even imaginable.

A critical part of fulfilling this mission is having a truly GREAT external developer experience, since many customers and partners will create integrations with our APIs. Making this process incredibly intuitive and easy is job one for our DevX team. We will create a developer portal that even your mom can use; one that is best-in-class, award-winning, and encourages/enables extremely low time-to-hello-world (TTHW) and submit-to-publish (STP) rates.

You will engage directly with our awesome product teams; understanding their domains/features, getting really close to their APIs, forming mental models to explain them to others, and create API documentation, tutorials, introductions, and any other materials required to achieve our goals of rapid comprehension and high adoption. You will be a part of a great team of equally strong technical writers who will review each other's work to ensure accuracy and cohesion.

Minimum Qualifications

• You are a highly-skilled writer, capable of distilling difficult surface area down to the bare minimum required for a technical reader to rapidly build comprehension. You have a great portfolio with samples that demonstrate this, and you are very proud of them

• This isn't your first rodeo; minimum of 4+ years of product-grade SaaS technical writing

• You have at least 2 years of API technical documentation design/production.

• You used Postman (or some other API client) at your last job and found it useful

• You understand APIs and how they work and are gifted at imparting that knowledge to others

• You are curious; you don't trust what developers tell you and like to pick things apart and try them yourself. If you weren't such a great writer you'd probably be in QA

• You are highly motivated (since you love your work) and very effective at managing yourself to high productivity

• You are very open to receiving and giving feedback, because you know that is the path to greatness and you are all about quality

Pour accomplir cette mission, il est essentiel d’offrir une expérience de développeur externe vraiment GÉNIALE, car de nombreux clients et partenaires créeront des intégrations avec nos API. Rendre ce processus incroyablement intuitif et facile est donc le mot d’ordre de notre équipe DevX. Nous allons créer un portail pour développeurs que même votre mère pourra utiliser; une solution qui est la meilleure de sa catégorie, primée et qui permet de réduire immensément le temps de création et d’exécution d’un programme « Hello, world! » et de soumission pour publication (STP).

Vous travaillerez directement avec nos impressionnantes équipes de produits pour comprendre leurs domaines/fonctionnalités respectifs, en vous rapprochant vraiment de leurs API. Vous formerez des modèles mentaux que vous expliquerez aux autres et créerez de la documentation API, des tutoriels, des introductions et tout autre matériel nécessaire pour atteindre nos objectifs de compréhension rapide et d’adoption élevée. Vous ferez partie d’une grande équipe de rédacteurs(trices) techniques tout aussi doué(e)s qui examineront le travail de chacun pour en assurer l’exactitude et la cohésion.

Exigences minimales

• Vous êtes un(e) rédacteur(trice) très compétent(e), capable de simplifier efficacement un sujet complexe pour qu’un(e) lecteur(trice) technique le comprenne rapidement. Vous avez un excellent portfolio avec des exemples de textes qui le démontrent, et vous en êtes très fier(ère).

• Vous n’êtes pas à vos débuts; vous avez plus de 5 à 7 ans d’expérience en rédaction technique SaaS de qualité produit

• Vous avez au moins 2 ans d’expérience en conception/production de documentation technique API.

• Vous avez utilisé Postman (ou un autre client API) dans votre précédent emploi et l’avez trouvé utile

• Vous comprenez les API et leur fonctionnement, et vous êtes doué(e) pour transmettre ces connaissances aux autres

• Vous êtes curieux(euse) et vous ne prenez pas ce que les développeurs vous disent pour argent comptant. En effet, vous aimez décortiquer les choses et les essayer par vous-même. Si vous n’étiez pas si doué(e) en rédaction technique, vous travailleriez probablement dans l’assurance qualité

• Vous êtes très motivé(e) [puisque vous aimez votre travail] et trouvez efficacement le moyen d’être très productif(ve)

• Vous êtes très ouvert(e) à l’idée de recevoir et de donner des commentaires, parce que vous savez que c’est la voie vers l’excellence et que la qualité est primordiale pour vous
