About the role:

As a Senior Director leading Delivery for our manufacturing clients, you are responsible for ensuring that the programs that you are involved in are delivered successfully. As an industry-expert, besides ERP you also have a deep understanding of the (possibly cross-platform) end-to-end processes that are specific to organizations in this industry. Manufacturing has always been complex and the pace at which the world changes today has increased that complexity and forces manufacturers to adopt modern technologies to meet their evolving demands and (often) find a way to integrate these new platforms with existing technology, that power their plants. Whether it’s the need to personalize products, find new methods to attract and maintain workers or leverage IoT technologies to drive insights, manufacturers face many challenges as they modernize.

You will work with our sales and delivery team to ensure that we promise what we can deliver and then deliver on our promises. You work closely with our key manufacturing clients to ensure that we understand what they need to grow and improve their business. Empowered by the capabilities from our Manufacturing Center of Excellence team, you will then work with your teams to translate those needs into a fitting solution and take front in delivering this. Obviously, relying on your laser focus on quality, risk management, (portfolio) profitability, team needs and client expectations, whilst finding ways to continuously improve where possible.

To be successful in this role you will have the following experience:

  • Deep industry experience in Manufacturing.
  • Understanding of Technology patterns, best practices and tooling in Manufacturing industries and ability to drive a program to standard technology       functionality.
  • C Suite impact and the ability to develop and grow long term, high value customer relationships.
  • Lead the delivery of the contracted solution on the program level at the agreed upon terms, original deal economics, schedule, and quality level.
  • Manage overall project/program risks, making adjustments as necessary and obtaining buy-in from senior stakeholders for critical project plans, commitment and changes.
  • Ensure understanding of stakeholder goals and expectations and address misalignments, also in contracts and scope if required.
  • Anticipating and communicating issues and risks to Avanade’s regional leadership.
  • Provide oversight to management of relationships with project or program suppliers and subcontractors.
  • Participate in sales pursuits driving the solution planning and deal shaping process that will help drive business value for our customers.
  • 12+ years of project/program management experience in an IT environment, involving external clients.
  • Demonstrated experience employing project management methods, tools, and techniques.
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft platform technologies.
  • Providing motivational leadership, coaching and development of key talents in Delivery team.
