Your Impact

We are looking for a Marketing Manager, Sales Alignment to join our growing Marketing Strategy & Operations Team. As an experienced marketing manager, you’re a versatile collaborator who can help shape and execute on marketing requests that come from internal teams. In this role, your primary “customer” will be Axon’s growing sales team, who often need customized research, materials or campaign ideas to support their efforts working with public safety customers in their region. That means you are wizard of prioritization, communication and customer service, and you have a well-rounded knowledge of marketing to be able to take point on a variety of asks, from simple slide deck creation, to adapting brand-level messaging for local customers, to routing leads or pulling reports that help shape the approach in a given territory.

Our ideal Marketing Manager will be a go-to, reliable resource for our sales teammates, serving as a thought partner, sales enablement professional and overall wheel-greaser so that our account owners can focus on having impactful conversations with customers. As more customers adopt Axon’s life-saving technologies, you’ll have a direct impact on making communities safer around the world.

What You'll Do
Location: Remote
Reports To: Marin Lersch, Sr. Director Marketing Strategy & Operations

  • Manage the intake and fulfillment of marketing requests from sales teammates, including market research, collateral, light strategy and reporting

  • Develop or adapt marketing materials for specific public safety customers, working with sales to understand the customer, product marketing to understand messaging, and marketing project managers to assist with internal execution

  • Provide end-to-end project management, scope project requirements and resourcing, develop detailed project plans and monitor progress, and deliver projects on time ensuring quality standards are met

  • Draft marketing deliverables such as slide presentations, 1-pagers or emails, and prepare detailed creative briefs for handoffs to other teams for finalization

  • Partner with analytics teammates to review campaign performance and/or proper lead routing to regional sales teams using Salesforce

  • Set up projects in Monday.com and Slack to give full visibility and provide regular updates

  • Highlight potential risks and act proactively to resolve issues

  • Seek opportunities for improvement and suggest new processes and projects

  • Work closely with sales stakeholders to ensure the team’s understanding and effective execution of short- and long-term visions

  • When necessary, work with freelance or other outside vendors to jointly deliver projects or campaigns

What You Bring

  • 3-5 years experience as a marketing manager or agency account executive

  • Bachelor’s in Marketing, Communications, English or related field

  • An ability to stay on top of projects and know timelines, key milestones, budgets, resourcing risks, etc.

  • Familiarity with sales processes and solutions-focused mindset

  • Exceptional communication, organization and time management skills

  • Proven ability to manage successful business relationships, and equally comfortable giving high fives and tough love

  • Self-starter personality and comfort with ambiguity

  • Resourceful and scrappy, with an ability to deliver outsized results in light of inevitable resource constraints

Preferred Qualifications

  • A passion for our mission and any experience related to supporting public safety

  • Some background in either copywriting or design

  • Previous sales enablement experience

  • Experience using Monday.com, our workflow management platform, and Salesforce, our CRM platform
