Position Description
We are currently sourcing an Assistant Vice President to join The Markets Application Production Services (MAPS) group in Sydney. This team is responsible for the management of production systems across our Equities & FICC businesses. This role will focus on providing support to our Rates (FI) areas.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide day-to-day application support which includes answering user queries, monitoring applications, reviewing and planning of system changes and server upgrades
- Assist in planning system rollout and application updates, provide feedback on production system performance, and investigate production problems and identify solutions.
- Drive the incident management process to ensure timely update to business, get the right people for root cause investigation, Troubleshoot production issues to identify root causes and track issues to their completion.
Key Requirements
- Experience in supporting/managing applications for markets businesses in Investment Banks
- Computer Science or Electronics degree preferred.
- Unix & SQL
- Scripting languages such as Unix Shell scripting, Perl scripting etc.,
