Position Description
Background: Closely vet change request that can be disruptive, need operational assistance and/or require an outage on Mainframe. Plans the activities and coordinates the actual implementation of the changes during the scheduled maintenance windows, working to mitigate any adverse change related impacts. A working knowledge of IPL, POR procedures and HMC is required. Job requires a work schedule consisting of weekdays and depending on the job responsibilities, a rotating weekend night schedule.
Key Responsibilities
- Review change tickets for all Mainframe LPARS
- Build weekly maintenance window schedules
- Contact support analyst for further information on scheduled change
- Attend CAB and planning meetings
- Work with support teams to avoid collisions during the maintenance window, including building maintenance window timeline and installation instructions for Operations and Support Analyst
- Create specialized scripts

- Ability to interact with a wide variety of stakeholders and partners.
Ability to speak or present information in confident, clear, concise direct manner
Ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously, prioritizing them correctly
- Demonstrated ability to work in high intensity situations
- Must be familiar with Mainframe
