The Role
An opportunity exists for a Research Analyst/ Associate within the Australian Insurance & Diversified Financials Research team, based in Sydney. The role is an opportunity to accelerate your career with a fast-paced working environment in sell-side equities research.
Responsibilities
- Creating and maintaining earnings and valuation models for Insurance & Diversified Financials companies, and developing comprehensive knowledge of company financial statements
- Analyzing industry trends, interrogating data and connecting with industry experts
- Developing relationships with institutional equities clients, equity sales & trading, company management and investor relations
- Preparing and writing research reports, presentations and other research-related documents
- Undertaking bespoke requests.
Preferred Background
- Excellent academic record with an Undergraduate degree in Actuarial, Commerce, Economics, Finance, or a related field
- 1-3 years of work experience preferably in an insurance/valuation/finance/equities related role
- Demonstrated ability to work independently and as a team player to meet tight deadlines to consistently high standards, with a high level of initiative and motivation
- Strong communication skills; written, oral, and numeric
