Business Control Manager

Job Description:

Lead the governance, oversight and maintenance of the EIT Policy, Standard, Standard Operating Procedures (SOP) and desktop procedures, inclusive of the following:

• Support and develop the team by overseeing the work of others and providing coaching
• Oversee the EIT Policy, Standard and associated Procedures:
  • Exercise critical thinking and judgment to effectively influence EIT management to improve the control environment
  • Maintain the EIT Policy and Standard 
  • Ensure completion of annual content review
• Establish, implement and oversee a sustainable process to ensure:
  • EIT procedures are in adherence with EIT policy and standard requirements 
  • Process documentation is appropriately tracked, current and consistent with EIT policy and standard requirements
• Oversee EIT Policy, Standard and SOP Exceptions:
  • Execute a proactive governance routine to manage the exception process
  • Maintain an inventory of EIT exceptions to the EIT Policy, Standard and SOP
  • Ensure approvals are documented and stored in the appropriate repository
• Oversee the EIT Procedure inventory:
  • Maintain and manage an inventory of all EIT procedures to ensure accuracy and completeness
  • Ensure documentation of processes in the Single Process Inventory is sufficient in supporting the execution of the process 
  • Notify process owners of any identified gaps and assist with any needed document creation or updates to support the execution of the process

Required Skills:
• 10+ years of relevant experience in a large, fast-paced, results-oriented company 
• Previous policy/procedure development and/or risk governance experience
• Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to juggle multiple work efforts and to quickly change direction
• Ability to provide guidance and consultation and effective feedback
• Executive presence and experience in effectively interacting with senior management
• Ability to navigate a matrixed environment
• Effective partnering skills to build consensus; proven ability to influence peers/stakeholders across multiple groups
• Ability to see the big picture and connect dots horizontally
• Bachelor's Degree 

Desired Skills:
• Deep understanding of EIT processes and strategy
• Experience working with Solutions Center and/or Global Policy Source
• Experience within a Business Controls function
