Job Description:
Role overview
Supports the CFO Operational Risk and Controls (ORCO) Executive and leadership team in running the business and changing the business
Work across a broad stakeholder group to meet critical deliverables
Design, develop plans and execute projects for CFO Operational Risk & Controls Oversight team
Provide strategic advice; direct and execute key initiatives; develop executive level presentations
Decision-making consistent with execution of key responsibilities; ability to execute with limited direction
Partner with CFO and GFC management level 1, 2, and 3, HR and L&LD, Business Controls Leads, LOB COOs, CFO Risk, Communications, Audit
Key responsibilities
Identify opportunities for operational excellence
Prepare executive level materials for meetings and documentation
Develop and produce reporting
Provide strategic advice on organizational structure and alignment
Assist with resource management and work distribution
Develop project objectives, governance, milestones and timelines
Execute on action plan to deliver project outcomes
Understand and implement ad-hoc requirements
Understand and resolve conflicts with stakeholders
Qualifications and Experiences
Minimum of 10+ years’ work experience in governance, business support, risk, controls, audit, compliance, and/or finance. Financial services industry preferred
Strategic framework and process design
Operational risk and/or controls experience/understanding preferred
Highly developed project-management skills; ability to handle multiple priorities in a fast paced environment
Strong decision-making qualities; proven ability to lead others, manage and develop team members
Understanding of enterprise policies and standards
Demonstrated leadership over change
Skills and Competencies
Able to influence and negotiate and drive solutions across peers/key stakeholders and representatives across multiple groups
Ability to identify, escalate and debate risk, conflict and issues; provide recommended solution
Ability to communicate complex ideas in a clear and concise manner, influencing the opinions and actions of key stakeholders and gaining their trust; experience in effectively interacting with senior management.
