Job Description:
The Compliance and Operational Risk (C&OR) Analyst assists the C&OR teams, under close supervision, in activities that provide independent compliance and operational risk oversight of a Front Line Unit or Control Function (“FLU/CF”) in alignment with the Global Compliance -- Enterprise Policy, the Operational Risk Management -- Enterprise Policy (collectively “the Policies”) and the Compliance and Operational Risk Management (“CORM”) Program and Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
The C&OR Analyst assists in engaging other C&OR officers, including horizontal coverage owners and Enterprise Areas of Coverage (“EAC”), to provide comprehensive oversight of FLU/CF activities. This role assists in developing and maintaining a global coverage plan which defines the scope and risk-based focus of the second line’s risk management activities. The C&OR Analyst assists in preparing materials for C&OR regulatory exams/audits/inquiries.
The C&OR Analyst is accountable for assisting the C&OR team in the proactive identification, management and escalation of compliance and operational risks through assisting in the execution of some or all of the following activities:
• Assists in the development of independent risk management reporting for respective area(s) of coverage as input into governance and management routines
• Contributes to the oversight of FLU/CF training which may include tracking and communication of completion rates
• Assists with the development and maintenance of C&OR-owned policies and standards and/or the oversight of FLU/CF-owned policies, standards and procedures to ensure regulatory and operational risk requirements are appropriately addressed, inclusive of conduct risk as applicable
• Supports the maintenance of a comprehensive regulatory inventory and supports the regulatory change management process
• Contributes to the identification, aggregation, reporting and performing thematic analysis on FLU/CF-owned issues and control enhancements
• Assists in remediating C&OR “owned” issues and control enhancements
• Supports execution of independent risk monitoring, testing, and risk assessments
• Assist with the reviews and challenge of the FLU/CF process, risk, control (PRC) inventory and FLU/CF Risk & Control Self-Assessments (RCSA)
• Supports the review and challenge of internal and external operational loss events, including development of remediation plans to strengthen controls
• Assists with the development of risk metrics, monitors related performance and breach remediation

Specific Role Responsibilities:
• Review Data Quality thresholds and breaches, and raise the relevant queries to both internal and external technology stakeholders;
• Follow up and document existing issues and enhance the tracking process by building more comprehensive routines (i.e. roles and responsibilities, process mapping etc.);
• Perform reconciliations and completeness checks on Tableau and Dashboard data;
• Run scenario analysis on threshold levels to determine appropriateness and recommend changes where needed;
• Create governance information packs and incident summaries.
Required Skills: Minimum Years Business & Functional Experience: 3 Years
Degree Required: Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent
Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel in order to manage large data sets including the use of pivot tables, filters and macros;
2. Programming and data management skills in order to:
• Carry out detailed analysis of data transmission reports and ad-hoc data projects;
• Analyze raw data sets, drawing conclusions & developing (high level and detailed) recommendations;
3. Strong technical writing skills in order to document BRD’s and the results of surveillance parameter reviews and effectiveness reviews, including document management and version control.
4. Strong organizational skills and ability to effectively track projects and project plans in a changeable environment.
5. Proficient in Microsoft Word and PowerPoint.
6. Knowledge of latest data technologies that includes Python and Machine Learning algorithms;
7. Basic understanding of statistics that includes mean, median, mode, standard deviation, etc.;
8. Very good and crisp written and verbal communication skills to ensure requirements are properly communicated to internal and external technology partners;
9. Ability to interact with senior stakeholders and communicate efficiently and confidently;
10. High aptitude, proactive and entrepreneurial skills to ensure a complete understanding of What, Why and How any problem should be solved, and propose solutions;
11. Strong team player who works well with others and supports a culture of learning, knowledge sharing and teaching.
