Job Description:
The Global Operations Finance Team is part of the Global Technology and Global Operations Finance (GTOF) organization within The CFO Group. The primary focus of the team is to be strategic finance partners to the various executive teams within Global Operations. The Business Finance Officer (BFO) will partner with operations executives to provide strategic business advice/counsel and manage all aspects of the financials.
Global Operations delivers integrated operations solutions for all lines of business, staff support areas and the broader enterprise, including operations teams in our global regions. The Global Operations Finance team is an active partner is helping the Ops executives achieve their objectives and continue to look for opportunities to continually improve. This role will focus on finance support for Global Markets Operations products and processes which include end-to-end support for Global Markets sales, trading and underwriting business for Securities, OTC, and Traded Derivatives across multiple lines of business.
Specific responsibilities include annual planning, forecasting, month-end reporting, allocations, and business case development support. Analytical and critical thinking skills, as well as communication skills will be heavily utilized in this role. To be successful, BFO will need build relationships across finance/HR/business support and throughout the operations organization. Identifying, developing and delivering process improvements is paramount. The teammate will develop business acumen, gain exposure to the business cases for strategic technology initiatives, and have the opportunity to regularly influence business outcomes.
Required Skills:
BA/BS Degree preferably in Finance/Accounting or equivalent work experience.
4 + years of experience in Finance/Accounting role
Proven experience with executive communications and influence
Highly assertive, independent, and able to build and maintain relationships
Interpreting and presenting financial data with logic and insight, and to partners at various levels in the organization
Understanding and communicating results from the Corporate Allocations process
Recommending solutions to facilitate organizational changes or business strategies
Completing deliverables timely, accurately, and in line with or exceeding business expectations
Provide financial transparency for expenses charged to initiative and base projects
