Sampling & Test Development Specialist I

Job Description:

The Sampling and Test Development Specialist I will gather test scripting or data requirements, working with data partners to ensure appropriate test design or sampling requirements are incorporated in to the Test Plans.

This role is responsible for accessing pertinent databases or acquiring raw data from third party sources along with all associated documentation, or for documenting business procedures within testing scripts.

Role may also be responsible for quality reviews to ensure accuracy of tests, oversight reviews, and delivery of data for execution.

This role will deliver high-quality results and may manage, manipulate and summarize large quantities of data.

The Testing Specialist, under supervision, conducts validation of non-independent data in support of test development/maintenance needs identified by Compliance and Operational Risk Officers. The Testing Specialist is accountable for performing validation and developing sampling data on tests built or undergoing maintenance through the Enterprise Independent Testing Sampling & Test Development (EIT S&TD) process. This role will review non-independent data sourcing and construct additional sampling components of tests for deployment to production. This role is an individual contributor in the Quality Assurance function of the EIT S&TD organization.

Qualifications and experiences:
-Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience
-2+ years experience with an internal audit, testing, risk management, process improvement, compliance, or front line control role
-Compliance or Risk certification a plus
-Understanding of automation tools and ability to structure tests in an automated fashion.
-For Technical roles: Experience with data warehouse and mining concepts and baseline understanding of SAS/SQL query language and syntax or ability to quickly learn technical requirements.

-2+ years’ experience interrogating and working with large datasets using VBA, SQL, or SAS
