Description Summary:
The Small Business Merchant Process Design Consultant is responsible for working closely with LOB/division leadership, compensation/human resources, finance, product management, sales & service execution and other partners to assess current incentive and scorecard processes and performance to determine appropriate strategies and actions to drive the right behaviors and expectations for best in-class partner, associate and client experiences. Provides support for integrated processes, resources, and performance reporting that aligns with our One Team specialist model. Drives consistency and strong operational excellence in the build and execution of scorecard design and processes. Responsible for overseeing the build of scorecards representing adherence to business processes to the LOB and providing detailed analysis on areas of opportunity. Required to work collaboratively to corresponding Consumer and Small Business incentive partners to ensure alignment of incentive metrics and goals. Will manage scorecard communication cascades.
Responsibilities include but not limited to:
Design, maintain scorecard strategies for Small Business Merchant Consultants that ensure balanced performance ensuring input from LOB, HR/Comp, Legal, Risk and Compliance
Manage scorecard development, integration of goals and ownership of communication plans to Merchant team
Collaborate with and proactively influence LOB partners with integration of merchant services into incentive plans
Become a trusted partner and interpret the merchant services business strategies
Ensures full integration of all processes and linkage to best practices
Engages with partners in development of training and communication for key associate-facing messages
Ensure approvals are obtained from required stakeholders
Create, maintain and manage plan manual documentation
Ensure Risk and Compliance standards in all processes
Required Skills:
5+ years of experience in incentive and/or scorecard design and processes
Consumer or Small Business or Merchant business acumen
Strong advisory and influence skills at the executive level – must have experience working directly with senior leaders within an organization, advising/consulting with them
Strong business acumen – must understand how the business works – how organizations develop strategy, utilize technology, serve customers/clients, succeed against competitors and generate profits
Strong analytical and problem solving skills – must have experience working with, analyzing and interpreting large amounts of data, as well as presenting the results to key stakeholders and senior business leaders in an organized and efficient format
Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to create executive ready presentations with ability to clearly communicate complex problems and solutions in a simple, logical and impactful manner.
Ability to develop and manage relationships across the company and a wide variety of partners based on trust, teamwork and knowledge
Be a demonstrated self-starter and results-oriented professional
Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast paced environment
