Job Description:
Retirement & Personal Wealth Solutions (RPWS) serves the core financial needs of individual clients and plan participants by connecting our capabilities across the firm. RPWS is responsible for the development and execution of a comprehensive set of personal wealth and retirement products and services through Banking, Merrill Edge and Advisory channels. RPWS provides tools and content that enables financial advisors and bankers to help their client’s live better financial lives.
The Institutional Investment Consulting (IIC) Program serves charitable organizations, pension, welfare benefit and profit sharing plans, corporations, high net worth individuals, trusts, and estates with $20M or more in Portfolio assets. Services across IIC include asset allocation recommendations, investment policy statement creation, manager searches and recommendations, and investment performance reporting. The Product Manager will be responsible for ongoing management of the IIC business. The candidate will drive the growth strategy and risk management of IIC by:
• Developing strategies and driving execution against growing the product offering and revenue by evaluating the marketplace and closing competitive gaps
• Leading ongoing development and management of tools and new capabilities to support institutional clients and financial advisors
• Identifying and implementing opportunities to streamline, centralize, and de-risk the business through critical analysis of the product offering and underlying processes
• Owning program governance framework; drives closure of risk items, ensures key control metrics remain green, executes escalations for program guidelines, maintains program policy and ADV
• Owning accuracy and completeness of the Institutional Performance Report through developing a deep understanding of the data feeds, processes, and underlying technology
• Driving resolution of financial advisor and internal stakeholder queries regarding program requirements, including but not limited to contracts and advising on client eligibility for the program
• Developing executive-level presentations and clearly communicating product strategy and program health to senior executives and stakeholders
Required skills:
•Minimum of 7 years directly related experience
•Experience in a product management role a plus
•Ability to execute detail oriented tasks in a fast paced environment with a high attention to detail
•Excellent project and time management skills
•Excellent written and oral communication skills
•Ability to work independently and work with multiple stakeholders as part of a team
•Advanced level of experience using Microsoft Office tools, particularly Excel and PowerPoint
•Experience working with Financial Advisors and Branch Office staff
Desired skills:
Bachelors degree
•CFA or CIMA preferred
