    The Finance Manager, FP&A reports to the Finance Director and is primarily responsible for supporting the Diagnostics Business Group’s Blood Culture/TB and Media Core Micro Platforms.  On occasion, the Finance Manager, FP&A may also be asked to provide support to other Platforms should the need arise. The Finance Manager, FP&A is expected to provide the necessary financial, business, and analytical support to the Business Group and Platform team members.

    The role provides flexibility to work a few days remotely and a few days on site weekly.

    Key responsibilities will include:

    • Actively participating on projects and initiatives, which includes attending regular team meetings, preparing financial models, providing financial support and analyses for the Platforms, and establishing yourself as a business partner to the Platform members

    • Preparing financial models for various GPDS projects, which includes working with finance and business associates from different countries and functions

    • Preparing and assisting in the development of budgets, projections, and the Annual Strategic Review.  Supporting US Commercial team in analyzing & forecasting revenue through standard gross profit. Driving Global Diagnostics Marketing Platform controllership support. Can reasonably understand and quantify various opportunities and risks to the business.

    • Performing month-end close activities and reporting financial results on a monthly, quarterly, and annual basis to leadership

    • Understanding and providing analysis of the operating results (sales and gross profit) of each Platform on a global basis and the global Platform spending in the US

    • Participating in the US SIOP (Sales, Inventory & Operations Planning) process as the Platform Finance representative; attending demand consensus and supply review meetings to ensure alignment between demand, supply, and financial projections

    • Providing financial and business support to Platform initiatives such as acquisitions, divestitures, business alliances, special projects, etc.

    • Accountable for the accuracy, thoroughness, and timeliness of required reporting analysis

    • Provide support, guidance and ad-hoc analyses as needed

    Experience and education:

    • Minimum B.S. degree in accounting or finance; CPA / MBA or equivalent or working toward qualification is desirable

    • Minimum 3 years of relevant experience required

    • Financial modeling skills strongly preferred

    • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, deadline-driven, team environment applying time and project management skills to drive prioritization of deliverables in a global environment

    • Self-driven, proactive and seeks continuous improvement

    • Well-organized and possesses good analytical and communication skills; analytical skills should include a strong understanding of valuation metrics such as IRR, MIRR, net present value, terminal value, payback period, etc.

    • Highly proficient working with MS Excel and reasonably proficient with other common applications such as MS Word and MS PowerPoint; working knowledge of SAP, Business Intelligence, and BPC are a plus

    • Travel may be required on occasion but should be limited to less than 10% of the time.
