This position is responsible for the operational execution of daily activities for the kitting and associated operations.

Responsibilities
People Leadership:
Ensure a safe work environment for all associates; reinforce safety culture, support incident investigations & follow up, support ergonomic initiatives, and ensure stretching and job rotation is completed as required as well as implement all safety programs communicates goals and results to the work team.
Manage all aspects of people leadership including but not limited to: Communicate Vision, Values, Strategic Initiatives, Goals, policies, and information updates.
Ensure the selection, orientation, development, support and retention of a sufficient number of qualified staff.
Tracks and monitors associate performance, provide feedback employee attendance and communications as needed.
Spends at least 60% of time on the work floor monitoring the flow and line efficiency through effective communication with employees while leading, providing direction and support to the team.
Performance evaluation and management (including annual performance reviews, performance improvement plans, disciplinary process.)
Manage time and attendance i.e. vacation, PTO and overtime.
Ensure compliance with on-going training requirements for self and team.
Identifies exceptional individuals for future growth and provides opportunities for advancement ensuring a focused career development.
Operations:
Expedites table workflow and monitors the daily set-up and flow of various operational activities to ensure effectiveness and response to a fluctuating workload.
Identifies operational efficiencies improvements and/or waste reductions that consistently yield favorable financial results.
Delegates duties and examines work for conformance to policies and procedures, accuracy, and neatness.
Studies and standardizes procedure to improve efficiency.
Partner with Quality Department for timely release of product, and investigates non-conforming product, CAPAs, and AAPs related to kitting operations.
Partner Work with Logistics Coordinator to schedule overtime as needed.
Ensures that applicable SOPs and work instructions are continuously updated as required.
Reviews daily production performance communicates daily with the work team.
Adjusts as needed to maintain performance goals. Cross train on all Logistics Controller activities.
Act as the back-up for the Controller in cases of absence due to vacation, illness, etc.
Responsible for working with team to identify and institute potential process efficiency improvements.
Support all cost to win objectives, assist to identify potential projects and institute potential process efficiency improvements.
Proactively lead continuous improvement efforts in assigned departments utilizing lean tools and methodologies.
Ensures effective training and record retention of employees and conformance to all SOPs, DOPs, work instructions, Waivers and ATDs.
Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with BD policies and procedures, QSR and FDA guidelines and applicable state and federal regulations.
Conducts area meetings to relay general information or to address specific topics such as safety, work cell performance, and improvement initiatives.
Other duties as assigned.
Experience and Education:
High School diploma or GDE required, AS degree preferred.
Higher education than AS degree a plus.
Minimum of 3 to 5 years previous people leadership/supervisory experience in a manufacturing operation, medical device experience strongly preferred.
Off shift leadership experience preferred.
GMP compliant medical device processing operation.
Must have excellent verbal, written, presentation, and interpersonal skills.
Working knowledge of quality programs.
Preferred experience with enterprise resource planning system, e.g. JDE, MRP, SAP, BPCS, MfgPro.
Strong computer skills; Word, Excel, ERP, Access database Experience with Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma and continuous improvement activities preferred.
