Attention all Material Handlers! We're on the lookout for a driven individual to join our team as a Material Handler. As a Material Handler, you will play an important role in supporting our Production and Set-up personnel by handling raw materials, finished goods, and supplies in and out of the department. Responsibilities:

  • Operate all material mixing equipment and prepare special color mixes for entire shift

  • Requisition raw material or supplies needed to support production

  • Maintain production/inventory records as required

  • Keep work area and equipment clean and orderly

  • Able to read and understand all packaging specifications and product specifications

  • Must follow the assigned department's protective clothing, safety, and management policies

  • Must maintain an adequate supply of totes within the department to support production

  • Inspect and check forklifts/pallet jacks for safe and accurate operation. Complete forklift/pallet jack inspection forms.

  • Mix and maintain accurate ratios on all pre-mixes and to ensure their accuracy

  • Maintain adequate production levels for all premixes, concentrates and resins for the entire shift. 

  • Ensure that all premix, concentrates and resins are labeled accurately.

  • Advise the supervisor of any problems.

  • Observe all safety and environmental procedures and Good Manufacturing Practices. 

  • Reports directly to Molding Shift Supervisor. 

  • Assist in taking Department Cycle Counts and inventory.

Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma or GED preferred

  • Able to perform SAP and Apriso  transactions (scanning and labeling of completed work) required

  • Decisiveness, enthusiasm, dedication, unselfishness, dependability, initiative, integrity, and knowledge are essential leadership traits

  • Ability to read, write, and understand English

  • Ability to work well in a team environment

  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds

  • Ability to stand for extended periods of time

  • Ability to communicate optimally with coworkers and supervisors
