B CREW 12 Hours

Essential Functions

• Maintains awareness of inventoryWorks with cell lead based on Molding Leader’s priorities to ensure inventory levels are maintained for uninterrupted material flow

• Starts and stops molds to maintain target inventory levels

• Supports production as needed to maintain molded component supply and inventory

• Monitors molding set-up for opportunities

• Monitors production cycle times to ensure they are meeting production requirements

• Actively works to maintain cavity utilization, outside of tool room resource focused repairs

• Troubleshoots mold process as identified to maintain production requirements

• Participates in mold pull/set to support PM activities

• Prepares or completes molds for mold pull/sets as needed

• Works with Cell Lead and Sr. Molding Process Technician to ensure proper inventory available to support PM activities

• Samples molds when ready and ensures proper paperwork is submitted

Skill Development

• Develops Skill 1 and 2 skills on crew

• Develops floater technician skills for cavity recovery and mold processing

• Participates in cavity utilization activities

• Focuses on recovering cavities as possible

• Troubleshoots molding process issues to maximize cavity utilization

• Preps mold for tool room for cavity recovery

• Samples molds when ready and ensures proper paperwork is submitted

• Monitors and maintains updated cavity chart information

• Helps maintain resin supply system

• Hook up and documentation of rail car

• Troubleshoots press material feed hoppers and pump system issues

• Observes all safety and environmental policies and Quality System regulations

Education and/or Experience:

• Minimum education; High School Diploma or GED
