ABOUT THE ROLE
As a Multilingual System Support Engineer, you will be a member of BD’s Customer Remote Support Team.
You will focus on supporting customers throughout the EMEA Region.
This position serves as a front-line intake mechanism for technical inquiries and provides Remote customer support on the operation and repair of Microbiology, Molecular Diagnostics and Cytology instrumentation, produced and sold by BD Life Sciences.
MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES WILL INCLUDE
Answer inquiries for technical assistance by telephone, chat and email. Identify customer problems, and remotely resolve instrument issues of basic to moderate complexity with limited assistance.
Documents customer interactions in a complete and accurate manner through the service management system.
Interface and work closely with advanced support specialists and other departments as the need arises (Dispatch teams, Application Support, Field Service, Informatics and Sales)
Lead a high degree of customer satisfaction by instilling confidence in BD products and services.
Always maintain a professional image through behavior, and all verbal & written communications.
ABOUT YOU
You have a business proficient knowledge of German, Polish and English both spoken and written.
Business level knowledge of another European language is a very strong plus. (Dutch, French, Spanish and Italian,..)
You have a basic working knowledge of electronics and electro-mechanical devices and knowledge with practical experience of basic test equipment
Affinity with informatics and remote access tools
You have a solid understanding and experience of networking set up and troubleshooting
Ability to multi-task (e.g., various customer inquiries simultaneously) and be adaptable to a changing business environment
You have effective interpersonal skills, organization/prioritization skills and a passion for providing outstanding service
PREFERRED EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
Basic experience in the usage and/or troubleshooting and repair of relevant equipment (medical devices; electronic systems)
Degree in biotechnology, medical technology, electrical or biomedical engineering, computer science or training as a medical technician or comparable qualification,
Ideally with at least 2 years of professional experience in the use and/ or troubleshooting and repair of relevant devices (medical devices; electronic systems).
Minimal Bachelor's degree, higher preferred.
