Manufacturing Supply Network Organization Leader

This role will lead our supply planning team at the James B. Beam Distilling Company.
Role Responsibilities

Production Scheduling: Determines and communicates the upstream resource impact of the Master Production Schedule. Collaborates with other functions and the master scheduling group (S&OP) in resolving conflicts and assessing tradeoffs in order to optimize performance in both delivery and cost. Participates in process improvement initiatives that involve the scheduling aspect of manufacturing with a focus on increasing flexibility and customer responsiveness while driving down overall supply chain costs.
Material Planning: Analyzes manufacturing costs, inventory carry cost and raw material/packaging material pricing to ensure item profitability. Utilizes analysis to make decisions regarding components of manufacturing costs, including plant line loading, labor planning, inventory levels of plant materials (raw, packaging, and work-in-process) and packaging materials price structure. Resolves unexpected issues and works to control costs when supply/operations related constraints and challenges arise.

Knowledge of supply chain management principles, with particular focus on the production planning and inventory management disciplines

Problem solving in high speed manufacturing systems
Excellent problem solving and decision making skills
Budget and cost control skills
Proficiency with MS Office Suite required
SAP or other ERP system skills preferred

Personal initiative with ability to collaborate effectively
Bachelor’s degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Engineering, or other relevant field required.
Any relevant professional certifications, such as Project Management, would be a plus
Minimum of 5 years experience in manufacturing required
Minimum 5 years experience in a Leadership role required
Minimum 5 years experience managing direct reports (including preparing/conducting performance reviews, career development planning, hiring & terminating) required
Manufacturing experience in the Consumer Packaged Goods industry preferred, particular focus on production planning/scheduling and materials management disciplines.
