    Project Manager  

    The following position is open in Loretto Kentucky, United States. This position will be based at the distillery which is approximately 20 miles south of Bardstown, KY

    Role Responsibilities

    • Independently execute capital projects across all facets of distillation, aging and bottling of distilled spirits ranging from $10K to $10MM.
    • Adhere to corporate EEM project management procedures and policies for all projects
    • Meet with project sponsors to develop project scope and set initial schedule and budget. Ensure that the project scope incorporates appropriate design for the company’s goals regarding Safety, Environmental, Quality, and Food Safety.
    • Work with stakeholders to evaluate equipment and layout options.
    • Work independently to schedule meetings, coordinate contractors, track progress and modify actions as necessary to maintain schedules, track spending and expenditures and perform all other activities necessary for proper project management
    • Direct outside engineering firms, architects and others in the development of project design drawings and specifications from project conception to final as built and startup/turnover.
    • Work with Corporate Procurement to prepare bid specifications, obtain and evaluate bids and issue purchase requisitions.
    • Conduct hazards analysis of project at appropriate stages
    • Oversee project construction, conduct pre-startup checkout, and provide startup assistance
    • Complete and close project on time and within budget
    • Develop and revise engineering standards as directed by the Plant Engineer
    • Identify, develop, and present cost savings ideas
    • Support development of the 3, 5 & 12 year Capital Budgets.
    • Supports and adhere to the job requirements for the department with regards to Quality, Food Safety, Environmental, Health, and Safety regulations and fully support the company IMS objectives and initiatives
    • Other duties as indicated

    Qualifications & Experience

    • Bachelor’s Degree in Project Management, Engineering, or other related field of study from an accredited college or university
    • Minimum of 10 years of experience in project management or engineering
    • PMP Certification a plus
    • Electrical Engineering degree or experience is a plus
    • Working knowledge of project scheduling software and development of GANTT charts
    • Working knowledge of AutoCAD and the ability to modify and create 2D drawings is desirable
    • Knowledgeable in the design, installation, and operation of process piping systems
    • Knowledgeable in the design and implementation of process electrical systems and PLC controls
    • Knowledgeable in the design and construction of commercial and industrial buildings and MEP systems
    • Must be proficient in the use of MS Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
    • Must be able to be an effective, collaborative member of a cross-functional team, able to collect competing ideas from multiple stakeholders and help reach a consensus
    • Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple projects with competing resources and timelines
    • Good written, verbal, and listening skills
    • Possess a valid driver’s license, for driving to remote facilities
    • Must be able to climb ladders and walk up and down stairs
    • Must be able to walk moderate distances – up to one mile
    • Must be able to tolerate extreme heat and cold for short periods of time

    Non-Essential Skills and Experience:

    • Distillation industry experience desired; knowledge or experience with the production, processing, storage, or handling of flammable/hazardous materials

    • Familiarity with the local and state building code and regulations

    • Working knowledge of boilers, chillers, cooling towers and compressed air systems is desirable

    • Experience with bottling equipment – uncasers, rinsers, fillers, cappers, packers, etc. is desirable

    • Six Sigma or other problem-solving experience is desirable

    • Experience with SAP is a plus
