Role Responsibilities
| | | --- | | - Manage a team responsible for controlling bailment (consigned goods) inventory levels, coordinating special item requests, handle returns with the goal to meet demand, maintain established inventory targets, and minimize costs, working closely with Commercial Team and Operations.<br>- Manage all staff reporting to the position to effectively recruit, train, evaluate, motivate, delegate, and monitor their activities<br>- Communicate ongoing with the Commercial team through weekly & monthly meetings to discuss inventory levels, status of innovation, special projects, and any other key activities<br>- Build and maintain relationships among Operations, Commercial, Traffic, and all other relevant internal and external departments involved in new project development.<br>- Review technologies (SAP/Demand tools) and explore new developments in the replenishment landscape to find new ways to more effectively and efficiently manage Bailment warehouse inventory<br>- Lead the overall management and accountability of the Bailment Replenishment team including defining goals, deliverables, training, SOPs, and establishing/maintaining team KPIs<br>- Manage and monitor execution of inventory targets, replenishment activities, slow moving items, and returns, ensuring consistent communication with management on status reports. Alert and communicate any issues involving delays, special requirements, or impact to effective dates. Lead problem resolution discussions on issues when required.<br>- Monitor inventory levels in bailment via end of month reporting, maintaining on hand goods within established stock targets. Take appropriate action on any aged, inactive, or non-performing items needing to be returned, transferred, or destroyed. Work with all analysts to find ways to improve reporting and configuration of how targets are determined so processes are always current.<br>- Work with supply planning analysts to manage inventory levels using a demand forecast and safety stock combination, incorporating any innovation and allocated items. Identify to commercial any obstacles in meeting field plan, in addition to addressing issues with either excess or insufficient allocations.<br>- Collaborate with Record to Report team on driving investigation and resolution of inventory discrepancies to maintain accurate data in SAP which drives MRP recommendations.<br>- Keep abreast of changes in bailment (Consigned Goods) requirements (including contract revisions), listing/de-listings, and work with cross functional teams to ensure all changes are documented and followed.<br>- Analyze, evaluate, and research current replenishment processes, systems, technology, and tools to identify and recommend opportunities to create efficiencies within the department. Also identify process improvements and best practices with cross functional teams.<br>- Develop reports that record, analyze, and report on activities, trends, and results, and provide qualitative and factual recommendations to analyst’s performance, inventory management, targets, and other bailment activities.<br>- Maintain effective communication with commercial, operations, planning, external vendors, and other internal departments.
