Supplier Quality Engineer

Role Responsibilities

Role Mission

(This position reports directly to the Senior Quality Manager) 

• Provide support to production regarding raw material quality issues within the manufacturing facility
• Develop quality assurance plans and process control procedures that will ensure production of finished products which meets quality specifications and standards
• Coordinate/Perform packaging material testing and qualifications
• Interpret data and Issue technical reports
• Initiate and maintain raw material holds
• Issue/Manage all Quality notifications to vendors
• Schedule and lead regular meetings with suppliers
• Coordinate supplier visits to plant
• Contact and/or visit suppliers when necessary
• Drive root cause analysis and corrective action process
• Perform risk assessment of gaps identified between quality goals and actual performance
• Troubleshoot automated inspection systems in the manufacturing facility
• Develop and follow Leader Standard Work
• Ensure compliance with TTB regulations
• Ensure compliance with Corporate specifications
• Adhere to and promote environmental health and safety as one of the organization’s business priorities.
• Promote and adhere to Food Safety, 5S and ISO standards
• Accept other duties as assigned

Qualifications & Experience

Qualifications & Experience

• Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience
• Minimum 3 to 5 years of related experience in technical quality role; supplier/package quality, project management
• Excellent communication and organizational skills
• Strong presentation skills
• Strong project management skills
• Knowledge of Excel, Word, computer based instrumentation
• SAP, HACCP, Lean, and ISO or Continuous Improvement experience preferred
