About this role

A successful candidate will be responsible for marketing and communications activities across all marketing channels (https://e.g. events, website, email, social, paid media, strategic partner packages) and client segments (DC and DB Pension Schemes, Consultants, OCIO (Fiduciary Management), and Local Authority).

We encourage all candidates to become a student of the market and show an interest in wanting to grow their understanding of the investment market in order to ensure successful positioning and marketing of BlackRock and iShares products.

They will need to be a strong team player as they will work across multiple projects and stakeholders both internal and external. They will also need to ensure compliance of materials in line with local requirements.

The role sits in London within a team of marketers who work on multiple UK client segments. The team works closely with central marketing teams in London and New York, other local marketing teams across EMEA, as well as local agencies.

Key responsibilities

Delivery of the marketing plan in alignment with key parts of our Institutional Client Business

  • Work with the ICB Marketing lead to execute on our objectives and strategy for key businesses in alignment with the UK sales targets
  • Develop a good understanding of the UK investment market in order to ensure successful positioning and marketing of BlackRock products
  • Work closely with Marketing, Sales and Product Strategy teams to help execute engaging marketing campaigns and promote content across various marketing channels such as web, email, social media, paid media, video, print, SEO, podcasts, webinars and in-person events.
  • Collaborate with our Sales team and key external partners to execute on multi-year partnership plans.
  • Maintain and enhance the ongoing maintenance of campaign websites.
  • Lead in execution of product newsletters and video series including building email lists, email creation and working with multiple teams internally to ensure smooth delivery.
  • Measurement and reporting – pushing performance to enhance the marketing offering

Support key strategic partnerships across the UK

  • Work closely with Sales, Marketing, PR and Compliance to scale distribution through key paid media partnerships and strategic partners
  • Leverage each marketing channel to deliver a frictionless client experience that drives engagement through the customer journey

Digital & social Marketing for UK Institutional

  • Building CRM programs that leverage best practice lifecycle marketing through systems such as Eloqua, Salesforce or Marketo
  • Work closely with Sales and Product to build strong user journeys and maintain site hygenie
  • Ability to work with publishing and development teams to develop new website experiences
  • Comfort in developing and launching Linkedin campaigns

Support proprietary and third-party events across the UK

Work closely with Sales, Marketing, Events and third-party agencies to deliver best in class events. This may include managing invite and communications, coordinating presentations, stand activity, promotional material, post-event client journey and feedback.

Experience

  • Analyst level (at least 2 years’ experience) with proven track record working across marketing channels (especially digital channels) and experience with assisting on campaigns and events.
  • Interest in financial markets and eagerness to learn and broaden understanding
  • Ability to effectively collaborate as a team-player but also able to work independently.
  • Strong communication skills, including an ability to liaise with senior management to implement and communicate strategy and move projects forward in a complex environment.
  • Able to operate in a fast-paced environment with flexibility regarding changes in strategy and project plan
