This role provides systems safety engineering expertise to internal safety engineering programmes. Undertaking all systems safety activities in support of UK safety cases for modifications to aerospace platforms, aircraft systems and training equipment as required. This role fits in with a larger System Safety Team that cover a wide range of programmes from Autonomous Systems, Rotary and Fixed Wing Aircraft, Land based Systems, Information Systems and Research and Development. This is a full-time role based at Bristol or Yeovil with some remote working options.
The Apache System Safety Engineer will provide systems safety engineering expertise and technical input into internal safety engineering activities. Undertaking all systems safety activities in support of UK Apache Service and Training Equipment Safety Cases as required. Applies an interdisciplinary collaborative approach to plan design, develop and verify a life-cycle balanced system of systems and system solutions. Evaluates customer and operational needs to define and coordinate system performance requirements, integrate technical parameters and assure compatibility of all physical, functional and programme interfaces. Performs various analyses to optimize total system of systems and/or system architecture.
