Boeing Defense, Space & Security (BDS) has a great opportunity for an Associate Industrial Engineer to work on a commercial derivative for an executive transport. This position will be based in Oklahoma City, OK or San Antonio, TX
The Oklahoma City, OK Location will require a 1-2-year Domestic Temporary Assignment (DTA) to San Antonio, TX.
Applies Industrial Engineering concepts, techniques, analysis, and decision tools under general supervision to promote and assist in change implementation manufacturing, engineering, and service operations.
Assists in developing models, databases and spreadsheets to analyze data and provides summary analysis and metrics for consultation to customers.
Applies general industrial engineering techniques and concepts to product and process design teams throughout the product lifecycle, resulting in a robust product design and work statement that meets program requirements.
Assist in research, design, development, improvement, and implementation of processes to enhance schedule performance, lower cost, and improve quality by applying LEAN and other Industrial Engineering concepts for large-scale systems integration and asset utilization.
Use engineering methods (e.g., mathematical models, simulation, statistics) to support the development of optimal process designs and efficient utilization of resources (e.g., facilities, personnel, materials, equipment) to create and validate products.
Under general direction, analyzes and designs value stream, including capability, capacity, throughput, workflow and logistics (e.g., critical path, lead-time, transportation, factory layout).
This position is expected to be 100% onsite. The selected candidate will be required to work onsite at the listed location.
This position requires the ability to obtain a U.S. Security Clearance for which the U.S. Government requires U.S. Citizenship. An interim and/or final U.S. Top Secret Clearance Post-Start is required.

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):
Bachelor's or Master's from an accredited course of study in engineering, computer science, mathematics, physics or chemistry
1+ year of experience in Industrial Engineering
1+ year of experience with process improvements
Experience working in a manufacturing environment
Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):
Bachelor of Science degree or higher in Industrial Engineering or Systems Engineering
Experience with applying LEAN manufacturing, root cause analysis, structured problem solving and improvement projects
Proficient in developing project schedules and resource analysis
Experience with Microsoft Access
Experience with Aurora, Gold ESP and Vipers
Experience with process modeling
Strong analytical skills
Typically acquired through advanced technical education from an accredited course of study in engineering, computer science, mathematics, physics or chemistry (e.g. Bachelor) and typically 2 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of technical education and experience (e.g. Master). In the USA, ABET accreditation is the preferred, although not required, accreditation standard.
This position offers relocation based on candidate eligibility.
Note: Boeing Support Systems (BSS) relocation will be offered for eligible internal candidates for the San Antonio location.
