BDS Phantom Works is seeking Associate Mechanical System Design and Analysis Engineers for advanced aircraft development programs located in Berkeley, MO. Skills include: Environmental Control System Design and Installation (ECS), Thermal Analysis, Hydraulic System Design and Installation.
Position Responsibilities Include:
Supports the development and documentation of mechanical and fluid system and thermal environment.
Supports the development, maintenance or modification of system designs/proposals to provide design documentation and high-level requirements to downstream users/customers.
Performs detail design development and modification of mechanical and fluid system installations.
Performs spatial integration at system or component level and modification of mechanisms/landing gear/ordinance systems.
Assists in preparing technical documents for mechanical components and systems.
Assists in supporting proposal preparation and new business development efforts.
Works under general supervision
This position is expected to be 100% onsite. The selected candidate will be required to work onsite at the listed location.
This position requires an active Secret U.S. Security Clearance. (A U.S. Security Clearance that has been active in the past 24 months is considered active.)
Basic Qualifications
Bachelor, Master or Doctorate of Science degree from an accredited course of study, in engineering, computer science, mathematics, physics or chemistry.
1+ years of experience do you have working with computer aided design such as CATIA, Solidworks, or Siemens NX.
1+ years of experience with Product Data Management tools/systems such as TeamCenter and ENOVIA.
Preferred Qualifications
1 + years of experience in Computer Aided Design (CAD), utilizing model-based definition, in Unigraphics.
1+ years of experience with thermal analysis tools such as Thermal Desktop.
1+ years of experience working with aircraft fluid systems design and components including pumps, valves, heat exchangers and controls.
Ability to multi-task and work in a multi-discipline team environment.
Ability to develop solutions to a wide range of complex technical problems, requiring ingenuity and innovation as necessary.
Typical Education/Experience:
Education/experience typically acquired through advanced technical education from an accredited course of study in engineering, computer science, mathematics, physics or chemistry (e.g. Bachelor) and typically 2 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of technical education and experience (e.g. Master). In the USA, ABET accreditation is the preferred, although not required, accreditation standard.
