BR&T has an exciting opportunity for an Associate Metals Machining Engineer, level 2, to join the team supporting our Puyallup, Washington and Auburn, Washington sites. The time will be split between both sites.
This position is for a Machining technical engineer for Boeing Research and Technology Manufacturing Technology Integration - Commercial (MTI-C) supporting Skin and Spar Manufacturing Business unit with a technical lead focus on metals machining and cutting.
BR&T MTI-C Metals Fabrication has earned a reputation within Boeing as the go-to organization for fast development of innovative technologies and processes to enhance and improve parts and the production process. Our team has a dual role of engineering innovation and emergent engineering support for the Manufacturing Business Unit. In this role you will have the opportunity to enhance current machining processes and capabilities and develop new machining technologies and processes across all Boeing Metals Manufacturing Business Units.
Position Responsibilities:
This position allows some telecommuting. The selected candidate will be required to perform some work onsite at one of the listed location options. On-site work will be at a minimum of 3 days per week.
This position must meet Export Control compliance requirements, therefore a “U.S. Person” as defined by 22 C.F.R. § 120.15 is required. “U.S. Person” includes U.S. Citizen, lawful permanent resident, refugee, or asylee.

Typical Education/Experience:
Education/experience typically acquired through advanced technical education from an accredited course of study in engineering, computer science, mathematics, physics or chemistry (e.g. Bachelor) and typically 2 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of technical education and experience (e.g. Master). In the USA, ABET accreditation is the preferred, although not required, accreditation standard.
