Boeing Global Services (BGS) is seeking an Aviation Project Coordinator, reporting to the Results Management Office (RMO) Leader within Aviation Business Solutions working out of our Vancouver, British Columbia office.
The Project Coordinator will join our high-performing Aviation Business Solutions (ABS) team located globally. In this role, the focus will be on supporting our Profit & Loss organization within Boeing Global Services (BGS).
This position is responsible for ensuring that projects are delivered on time, on/under budget on plan, with high quality and high customer satisfaction. Using strong project management skills and prior experience, the Project Coordinator will manage projects by creating and tracking detailed project plans, managing and resolving issues and risks, and communicating status and priorities to customers and leadership. This position will report to the Results Management Office (RMO) Leader.
Our Project Coordinators play a non-traditional role in our unique business. They are an integral part of our team that wins the trust of customers, advises internal and external senior leaders and provides solutions that help grow both our business opportunities and solutions in our catalog. Our Project Coordinators are team-driven. Often, our Project Coordinators are responsible for building a task-organized team of internal resources to provide tailored solutions to our customers.
Successful Project Coordinators are those with the ability to manage both business and technical risk, form and drive industry-standard Project Management Plans as well as Program Plans. They must also have the ability to listen carefully, pay deep attention to detail and communicate effectively at all levels of management. Project Coordinators in ABS also deliver services to our customers both in-person and virtually, functioning as PM-consultants. A successful Project Coordinator grows the business by being invited back by the customer having earned their trust while driving the entire team to demonstrate value.

Position Responsibilities
Define the scope of the project in collaboration with all stakeholders
Create a detailed project plan which identifies and sequences the activities and tasks needed
Define and maintain a risk management plan for the project
Manage project administration including meeting coordination, agenda, minutes etc.
Manage the resources required to complete the project
Review the project plan with all stakeholders affected by the project activities; revise the plan as required
Determine the objectives, milestones and measures upon which the project will be evaluated at its completion including conducting post implementation reviews
Monitor execution of the project according to the project plan
Develop forms and records to document project activities e.g. Actions items, Decision Logs, Issues Logs etc.
Set up files to ensure that all project information is appropriately documented and secured
Monitor the progress of the project and facilitate the discussion on how to adjust as necessary to ensure the successful completion of the project
Communicate updates to stakeholders on the progress of the project
Monitor all budgeted project expenditures
Ensure that financial records are tracked and updated
Ensure that the project deliverables are on time, within budget and at the required level of quality
Evaluate the outcomes of the project as established during the planning phase
Follow the project management methodology for executing of all projects
Basic Qualifications (Required Skills / Experience):
4+ years’ experience in Project Management
Aviation/Airline project and/or program management experience
Experience managing multiple high-volume, complex, concurrent projects
Experience developing and maintaining relationships with customers, stakeholders, peers and partners
Willing and able to travel both domestically and internationally up to 50% of the time
Must be legally able to work in Canada
Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills / Experience):
Project Management Professional (PMP)
Knowledge of software development lifecycles
Experience managing 3 or more project teams concurrently
Degree in Business Administration, Project Management or related field
Experience with MS Project
Familiarity or experience with the Software Development Lifecycle preferred
Typical Education & Experience:
Education/experience typically acquired through advanced education (e.g. Bachelor) and typically 6 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience (e.g. Master+4 years' related work experience, 10 years' related work experience, etc.).
