Boeing’s Space Command and Control (SC2) team located in Colorado Springs, Colorado is growing and needs a senior Cybersecurity Engineer to provide leadership as a member of our team developing our Nation’s newest systems to support Battle Management Command, Control, and Communications (BMC3) programs.  Boeing is developing pioneering Space BMC2 systems using groundbreaking technology across a diverse portfolio of applications and programs. 

You will be responsible for applying an interdisciplinary, collaborative approach to plan, design, develop, validate, and verify life-cycle balanced information system security solutions.

Primary Responsibilities: 

• Provide Leadership and direction to the Cyber team specifically in the interpretation and improvement of Information Security policies and procedures for secure application development within the DevSecOps environment.
• Act as a Mentor for the new and junior members of the team.
• Have a technical understanding of Cyber requirements based on NIST 800.53, CNSSI 1253 and its overlays, ICD-503, and JSIG as a minimum.
• Have experience in the creation and execution of Cyber Security test procedures to verify and validate cyber requirements.
• Be the primary Customer interface for all Cyber tasks.
• Conduct briefings for weekly and monthly Program Management Reviews.
• Lead and provide direction for the Cyber Technical baseline of tools not limited to NESSUS, RAPID7, NMAP, NIPPER along with system configuration and hardening guidance.
• Provide guidance and direction for integrating new tools to facilitate new technologies to program areas like Static and Dynamic Code analysis tools and container scanning.
• Provide proposal support to include drafting Proposal/ROM/Task Order artifacts including BOEs, ROMs, with functions to the 4th level WBS.
• Coordinate with government (DoD) customers, program management, system administrators, network and software engineers, and test and validation engineers on security related activities, requirements, and deliverables.
• Develop and maintain information system security documentation for program Assessment and Authorization activities.  
• Identify assets and assess risks, threats, and vulnerabilities of products in accordance with accepted industry, professional, and government standards to ensure security design integrity, availability, confidentiality, non-repudiation, and contract compliance.
• Evaluate remediation recommendations and develop a mitigation plan including cost estimates.
• Apply an interdisciplinary, collaborative approach to plan, design, develop, and verify complex lifecycle balanced system and system solutions.
• Evaluate customer and operational needs to define and coordinate system security requirements.  Integrate technical parameters and assure compatibility of all physical, functional and program interfaces.
• Maintain expert level awareness of threats, trends, and research in application security, with a strong fluency in current events and standards in the security community.
• Develop and optimize processes to improve the consumption of security development practices implemented within the CI/CD pipeline.
• Apply expert level knowledge of security testing tools, practices and validation methodologies.
• Lead proactive efforts to ensure end-to-end security of products through hands on testing, threat modeling, administering technical direction to software development teams, remediating risks upfront, and championing secure implementation efforts.
• Forge collaborations and influence product development teams to handle software security risks aligned with business goals.
• Invent troubleshooting approaches and mitigations to quickly resolve platform issues and ensure application robustness and security.
• Lead efforts to analyze, improve, and automate secure coding practices, application security requirements, training, and metrics with an impact on the industry.

This position is expected to be 100% onsite.  The selected candidate will be required to work onsite at Colorado Springs, Colorado.

This position requires an active U.S. Top Secret Security Clearance (U.S. Citizenship Required). (A U.S. Security Clearance that has been active in the past 24 months is considered active.)  The ability to obtain SCI (Sensitive Compartmented Information) Post Start is required.

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):

• 5 years of experience in Cyber Security.
• 5 years of technical leadership.
• 5 years of experience with the Joint Special Access Program Implementation Guide (JSIG) and Risk Management Framework (RMF) security processes.

Typical Education & Experience:

Typically 14 or more years' related work experience or relevant military experience.  Advanced degree (e.g. Bachelor, Master, PhD, etc.) preferred but not required.

Please note that the salary information shown below is a general guideline only.  Salaries are based upon candidate experience and qualifications, as well as market and business considerations.  

Summary pay range: $110,250 – 204,750.
