The Boeing Defense, Space & Security (BDS), is seeking an Experienced Avionics Integration Engineer (Level 3), in Hazelwood, MO. You will support integration of new mission system avionics into the Boeing Airpower Teaming System (ATS).This will require working across multiple Boeing engineering disciplines as well as customer and vendor engineering counterparts to ensure physical, electrical, and logical interfaces are defined, compatible, and working in time to support program test and demonstration milestones.
This position is expected to be 100% onsite. The selected candidate will be required to work onsite at one of the listed location options.
Responsible for supporting planning and execution of test and validation activities of assigned subsystems.
Supports work with customers to develop and document complex electronic and electrical system requirements.
Supports work to analyze and translate requirements into system architecture, hardware and software designs and interface specifications.
Supports work to test and validate to ensure system designs meet operational and functional requirements.
Solves problems concerning and provides other support of fielded hardware and software over the entire product lifecycle.
This position requires an active U.S. Secret Security Clearance (US Citizenship Required). (A U.S. Security Clearance that has been active in the past 24 months is considered active).
BasicQualifications (Required Skills/Experience):
Bachelor's, Master's or Doctorate of Science degree from an accredited course of study, in engineering.
3+ years' experience integrating electronics into an airborne system
Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):
Experience interpreting subsystem requirements for Validation & Verification.
Experience working with multiple engineering disciplines necessary to successful integrate electronics into an airborne platform.
Experience troubleshooting electronic subsystem problem reports.
Typical Education & Experience:
Education/experience typically acquired through advanced technical education from an accredited course of study in engineering, computer science, mathematics, physics or chemistry (e.g. Bachelor) and typically 5 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of technical education and experience (e.g. PhD, Master+3 years' related work experience). In the USA, ABET accreditation is the preferred, although not required, accreditation standard.
