Additive Manufacturing enables value to Boeing by enhancing products with novel design solutions. The Boeing Additive Manufacturing (BAM) organization is seeking a high performing Experienced Manufacturing Engineer to join their team in Auburn WA.
This Manufacturing Engineer will develop and coordinate production manufacturing plans and contribute innovative solutions to support metal laser powder bed product development including delivery of flight production hardware.
The Manufacturing Engineer would be accountable for executing the end to end additive manufacturing production process including customer technical reviews, coordination with supply chain, obtaining flow and cost estimates, facilitate manufacturing readiness reviews, post processing coordination and delivery of flight production hardware.
Position Responsibilities:
Execution and delivery of additively manufactured flight production hardware
Serves as a project manager to ensure that contract requirements, specifications, design criteria and schedule performance are integrated and maintained.
Additive Manufacturing process improvements including post-processing
Coordinate job-specific post-processing activities and testing
Facilitate customer technical meetings and Manufacturing Readiness Reviews (MRR)
Generate product statement of work (SOW)
Create, update and maintain Standard Operating Procedures (SOP)
Root Cause Corrective Action (RCCA) resolution
Facilitate Manufacturing Readiness Reviews (MRRs)
This position is expected to be 100% onsite. The selected candidate will be required to work onsite at one of the listed location options.

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):
Bachelor, Master or Doctorate of Science degree from an accredited course of study, in engineering, computer science, mathematics, physics or chemistry
Experience in aerospace related manufacturing operations or production support
Experience in developing and/or contributing to processes, policies, and procedures
Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):
Experience with metallic additive manufacturing technologies for design, build, and simulation-powder and/or wire feed based equipment & processes
Experience in working with (CMES) Common Manufacturing Execution System
Experienced in using manufacturing tools (MESci, etc)
Typical Education/Experience:
Education/experience typically acquired through advanced technical education from an accredited course of study in engineering, computer science, mathematics, physics or chemistry (e.g. Bachelor) and typically 9 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of technical education and experience (e.g. PhD+4 years' related work experience, Master+7 years' related work experience). In the USA, ABET accreditation is the preferred, although not required, accreditation standard.
