The Boeing Defense, Space & Security (BDS) Ground Operations Team supporting the International Space Station (ISS) Program is seeking an Experienced Support Planning & Management Specialist who will be responsible for the project management of repair efforts to support the International Space Station in Houston, TX.
Work with suppliers, engineering, and finance to achieve hardware deliveries on time and within budget to ensure sustainment of ISS.
Repair work is performed at Boeing and supplier depots.
Coordinate and support proposal development; supports contract negotiations.
Develop program implementation/integration plans and schedules
Monitor execution of support programs
Coordinate and gathers data for estimates in support of proposal activities
Develop support program plans and schedules, validates standard deliverables and supports trade studies for platform subsystems
Represent organization as a prime contact on contracts or projects
Coordinate project planning and execution with engineering, operations, quality, configuration management, finance, and supplier management organizations
This position is expected to be 100% onsite. The selected candidate will be required to work onsite at one of the listed location options.
This position must meet Export Control compliance requirements, therefore a US Person as defined by 22 C.F.R. 120.15 is required. US Person includes US Citizen, lawful permanent resident, refugee, or asylee.
This position requires the ability to obtain access to a National Aeronautics and Space Administration (NASA) facility. Access to the facility requires a background investigation by U.S. Government authorities.
Basic Qualifications (Required Skills & Experience):
Bachelor's Degree or higher
4 or more years of experience in either Project Management and/or technical integration
Experience with project planning and project scheduling
Willing and able to obtain NASA access
Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills & Experience):
Experience in depot repair management
Familiarization with supply chain management
Experience with GOLDesp
Typical Education & Experience:
Education/experience typically acquired through advanced education (e.g. Bachelor) and typically 6 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience (e.g. Master+4 years' related work experience, 10 years' related work experience, etc.).
