The Boeing Space & Launch Division's GPS-OCX Program (OCX) is looking for a Senior Network and Communications Engineer to support development and operations in Colorado Springs, CO.
The program is seeking a Network Engineer to provide systems administration of the OCX System Integration and Transition Lab (SITL), support OCX deployment to operations, and also help develop a new Global Military Satellite Communications (MILSATCOM) Ground System that will manage transmission of protected tactical waveform a type of secure, anti-jam communication over Boeing-built Wideband Global SATCOM (WGS) satellites and terminals.
The successful candidate will drive the daily execution of product development in a fast paced agile environment. We seek candidates who have skills in agile methodologies, system development, test automation, and system automation.
As a member of the Boeing team, you will be involved in the entire systems development life cycle, from idea creation and development, all the way through to maintenance and support of the customer's delivered system. Provide network system administration of OCX Integration and Transition Development Environment
Provide network deployment and maintenance of OCX Operation System
Support the baseband network element design, development, assembly, and test
Support the development of terrestrial networks interfaces
Support Joint Hub End Cryptographic Unit (ECU) design, development and verification into the Data Centers
Assist in providing a baseline for verification and formal acceptance
Support segment requirements Verification & Validation
This position requires an active Secret U.S. Security Clearance, for which the U.S. Government requires U.S. Citizenship. (A U.S. Security Clearance that has been active in the past 24 months is considered active)
Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):
Five (5) or more years developing network configuration for secure communications/operations
Two (2) or more years experience in deploying secure communication networks to DoD operations
Preferred Qualification (Desired Skills/Experience):
1+ year developing complex systems within an Agile development framework
Experience with collaborative Confluence environment including JIRA.
Typical Education and Experience:
Education/experience typically acquired through advanced technical education from an accredited course of study in engineering, computer science, mathematics, physics or chemistry (e.g. Bachelor) and typically 14 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of technical education and experience (e.g. PhD+9 years' related work experience, Master+12 years' related work experience). In the USA, ABET accreditation is the preferred, although not required, accreditation standard
This position is located in a location that does not offer relocation. Candidates must live in the immediate area or relocate at their own expense.
