The Boeing Defense, Space, and Security (BDS) team is seeking an Lead Electrical Design and Analysis Engineer (Level 4) located in Heath, OH. The selected candidate will be responsible for design, development and sustainment of electrical, electronic and electro-mechanical test equipment in support of the U.S. Air Force. Close collaboration with program management, other functional engineering groups, operations and other functional counterparts is required.
Responsibilities may include but are not limited to the following:
Maintains detailed requirements and specifications for various electronic and/or electromechanical products.
Develops detailed designs of limited scope.
Conducts various methods of testing and analysis to support design.
Gathers data for technical performance measures and performs basic analysis.
Provides basic engineering support throughout the lifecycle of the product.
Conducts trade studies and literature research to support future product designs.
Works under general supervision.
This position requires the ability to obtain a U.S. Security Clearance, for which the US Government requires US Citizenship. (An interim and/or final U.S. Secret Clearance Post-Start is require.)
Bachelor's, Master's or Doctorate of Science degree from an accredited course of study, in engineering, computer science, mathematics, physics or chemistry
7+ years of experience in electronics test methodology
7+ years of experience in digital/analog power electronics
Circuit design and analysis
Knowledge of Printed Wiring Board (PWB) design processes
Course-work and/or experience in one or more of these focused areas: analog/digital circuits, gimbal design/control, power supply and distribution, LabView, control systems.
Education/experience typically acquired through advanced technical education from an accredited course of study in engineering, computer science, mathematics, physics or chemistry (e.g. Bachelor) and typically 7 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of technical education and experience (e.g. Master). In the USA, ABET accreditation is the preferred, although not required, accreditation standard.
