Boeing Global Services and the Apache Spares Engineering Team is currently seeking an Experienced Manufacturing Planner to become part of the Vertical Lift Team in (Mesa, AZ).
The Apache Spares Engineer Team is responsible for providing manufacturing engineering and planning services in support of new build Apache aircraft production and post-production component repair and overhaul in support of the global fleet.
The successful candidate will demonstrate the Boeing Behaviors and First-Time Quality while contributing to the delivery of Spares Engineering services needed to support depot level Apache dynamic component repair and overhaul. Additionally, new build components that support the Apache aircraft production line. The successful candidate will collaborate with teammates across multiple disciplines and functions in our effort to sustain AH-64 and AH-6 products around the globe. The employee will respond to requests, assemble technical data packages, submit recommendations and collaborate with cross-functional and diverse teams to determine the producibility of spare parts.
Position Responsibilities:
Support the manufacturing, assembly, and test of dynamic components for US and international customer vertical lift attack aircraft.
Create manufacturing plans/routings under Deport Repair & Overhaul (DRO) for the purposes of restoration of fielded hardware per approved manuals and repair documentation. This can include dis-assembly, part inspection (repair/re-use/replace), assembly, testing requirements, special process control, tooling procurement.
Optimize operational efficiency through business proposals/presentations on continuous process improvements, cost savings, cost reduction initiatives, analysis reports and plans for business efficiencies.
Daily usage of systems such as TeamCenter, SAP, Haystack, Microsoft office products and other industry tools for engineering duties.
Work in a fast paced environment directly located within proximity of shop floor and daily interaction with personnel working on products.
Performs other duties as assigned.
This position must meet Export Control compliance requirements, therefore a “US Person” as defined by 22 C.F.R. § 120.15 is required. “US Person” includes US Citizen, lawful permanent resident, refugee, or asylee.
This position is expected to be 100% onsite. The selected candidate will be required to work onsite at one of the listed location options. (Mesa, AZ).
Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):
Associate’s Degree or Higher.
Experience working in aerospace manufacturing operations and/or manufacturing support.
Experience working with and/or interpreting engineering data and engineering drawings.
Experience using analytical, collaboration, communication and organizational skills.
Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):
3+ years’ experience working in Rotary Wing Aviation.
3+ years’ experience working in AH-64 Apache.
3+ years’ experience working with the US Army customer.
3+ years’ experience with Manufacturing Execution System (MES) Common Image.
Typical Education & Experience:
Education/experience typically acquired through advanced education (e.g. Associate) and typically 3 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience (e.g. Bachelor+1 years' related work experience, 5 years' related work experience, etc.).
Relocation:
Relocation assistance is not a negotiable benefit for this position. Candidates must live in the immediate area or relocate at their own expense (Mesa, AZ).
