We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Mid-Level Information Technology Engineer to join the Product Standards Office technology team in one of the following locations: Mesa, Arizona; Huntington Beach, California; Huntsville, Alabama, Berkeley, Missouri, North Charleston, South Carolina; Philadelphia, Pennsylvania; Irving, TX; or Plano, TX.
The successful candidate should have a passion for systems analysis and testing, requirements gathering and development, and learning, and supporting new technologies. This individual will work within the Product Standards Office technology team to support new development projects.
Position Responsibilities:
Defines and validates requirements for new and revised hardware and software systems
Designs, develops and tests applications
Performs trade studies and other forms of analysis to formulate optimum solutions for users
Develops and deploys new or revised processes in support of new computing systems, including documentation and training
Supports the development of system integration strategies and architectures that promote use of common tools and processes
Facilitates integration of new technologies and the transition from legacy systems to support business requirements
Support data migration activities through data modeling, data mapping, data analysis, or data creation
Works under general direction
This position allows telecommuting. The selected candidate will be required to perform some work onsite at one of the listed location options. This role will primary be performed on a remote basis with periodic onsite work required.
The position must meet Export Control compliance requirements, therefore a “US Person” as defined by 22 C.F.R. § 120.15 is required. “US Person” includes US Citizen, lawful permanent resident, refugee, or asylee.
Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):
Bachelor, Master or Doctorate of Science degree from an accredited course of study, in engineering, computer science, mathematics, physics or chemistry
1+ years of experience working across user groups to gather, interpret, and coordinate requirements and communicate to other technical associates
1+ years of experience with software testing, troubleshooting, and repairing technical issues
1+ years of experience with technical writing and/or process documentation
1+ years of experience representing an organization providing solutions to difficult technical issues
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience with content management systems, or Dassault 3DX technology
Model Based Engineering knowledge
Experience, and understanding of the responsibilities and tasks performed by various Engineering departments/disciplines (e.g. design, manufacturing, materials, process and physics).
Experience working on virtual teams
Experience with Product Standards or Process Specifications
Experience with guiding and mentoring other employees
Typical Education/Experience:
Education/experience typically acquired through advanced technical education from an accredited course of study in engineering, computer science, mathematics, physics or chemistry (e.g. Bachelor) and typically 5 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of technical education and experience (e.g. PhD, Master+3 years' related work experience). In the USA, ABET accreditation is the preferred, although not required, accreditation standard.
