Boeing Defense, Space and Security (BDS) is seeking a highly motivated Operations Analyst 4 or 5 depending on experience to join the elite Phantoms Works (PW) Operations Team on 1st shift in Kent, WA. You will be responsible for Proprietary Space Operations supporting manufacturing/production. Serve a pivotal role in providing manufacturing knowledge to support the PW Space Organization. Be responsible for data analysis supporting the program as well as applying operational and lean acumen to deliver critical national defense products on-time with the upmost quality.

Security Clearance:

This position requires an active U.S. Top Secret/SCI Security Clearance (U.S. Citizenship Required). (A U.S. Security Clearance that has been active in the past 24 months is considered active)

Job Description

Provide PW Operations capabilities/functional support & guidance to PW Space Organization. Duties focused on support to PW Proprietary Space (Kent) Operations. Responsibilities include:

• Support planning/implementation of manufacturing capacity to support PW Space needs including an efficient Small Satellite capability standup and production readiness
• Support the implementation of lean manufacturing/production strategies for improving operations and processes within PW Space
• Support production execution to support all PW Space needs
• Support gated process for PW Space domain activities
• Bring enterprise and PW standard methodologies such as Start Right to PW Space
• Support overall PW operations operating rhythm and functional initiatives including but not limited to FODS standards/best practices and One Boeing Production System deployment
• Proactively identify issues that impede business success and provide solutions/recommendations
• Supports and facilitates sophisticated and high visibility process improvement efforts

The position must meet Export Control compliance requirements, therefore a “US Person” as defined by 22 C.F.R. § 120.15 is required. “US Person” includes US Citizen, lawful permanent resident, refugee, or asylee

Basic Qualifications:

• 10+ of experience in Operations and/or manufacturing processes.
• 5+ years’ of experience using LEAN Manufacturing and/or Continuous Improvement practices and tools in the workplace.
• 5+ years of experience as a proven leader with strong written, verbal communications and presentation skills.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s Degree with a technical or business background
• 3+ years’ experience as a systems thinker, able to manage a high degree of complexity
• 3+ years’ experience with strong interpersonal skills including the ability to build trust as well as influence and foster relationships with diverse team members
• Passion and drive to help foster a culture of efficiency and high performance
• Ability to complete complex tasks quickly with little to no guidance; self-starter and highly organized
• Space domain experience and background in engineering
